The BTHC Foundation has over 50,000 reasons to smile, thanks to an incredible Smile Cookie Week! During this year’s Smile Cookie Week, held April 28th to May 4th, a staggering $50,182 was raised between the Morden and Winkler Tim Horton’s through the sale of Smile Cookies, Smile Plushies and donations. The Foundation is grateful for the continued partnership with Jeff and Linda Doerksen, owners of the Morden and Winkler locations and the unique fundraising opportunity that Smile Cookie Week provides.

The Foundation is also thankful for the volunteer support – with over 80 community volunteers helping throughout the week to decorate cookies, coordinate deliveries and greet customers in Tim Horton’s. The week flew by and customers were entertained at both locations with appearances by the Cookie Monster, and familiar faces from community fire departments, elected officials, medical clinics, financial institutions, and the Winkler Flyers, to name just a few of the organizations lending their support.

All funds raised at the Morden and Winkler locations will build something special at BTHC. Every order, large or small, played a part in supporting the BTHC Foundation’s vision of creating an outdoor wellness space. This future space will offer patients, families, and staff a peaceful place to step outside, breathe deeply, and recharge away from the busy hospital setting.
